this one is for my fellow sewers out there. i would like to make you aware of a new section on my fabric website (www.jaymccarrollfabric.com) that will feature projects that you create using my fabric called CENTER CITY PROJECTS! i feel like i am always scouring various sources to find the best projects that people create with my fabrics and i always feel like i might be missing something really special. so, i thought that being able to share them all in one place would be really awesome. i wouldn’t have to troll around the internets google searching myself and you would get to share your amazing projects with the world. its like a virtual gallery for all things jay mccarroll CENTER CITY fabric related. sounds fun right?

hello there folks.
i have a few new happenings that i must share with you….
the day has finally come! tomorrow marks the public debut of my new line of socks and not only that, but you can actually buy them! you know, like pick them up and look at them and touch them and take them home and wear them and admire them and be the envy of all of your friends…or…if you are a nice person you will buy your friends some and share the love. i’m so darn excited! i really am in love with these socks and i know you will be too! and…it couldn’t be better timing as autumn is definitely swirling around in the air with it’s chilly winds and crunchy leaves flying about. it’s even snowing in some parts of the US today. eek!
where can you get these socks you ask? well, tomorrow i will be selling them and all of my other apparel and accessories at the haddonfield fall festival and craft show in downtown haddonfield new jersey from 10am to 5pm. i will be located in booth #43. so come on out and see me and enjoy all of the fall festivities at this fabulous show! ps: a little birdy told me that the weather will be superbly autumn-ey tomorrow so there better be hot apple cider somewhere!

i wanted to let you know about my involvement in a fabulous animal welfare campaign to fight to save 12 endangered animals. it’s called “12 in 12 for 12” and it’s an animal welfare campaign being led by a true animal activist named gabby wild. each month for 12 months gabby will be wearing a look designed by a fashion designer that is specifically inspired by one of 12 endangered animals. i have designed a look for the month of october inspired by the kakapo parrot. i chose this animal because i really identified with it. its colorful and overweight and can’t fly. sounds about right huh? haha!
